From Nov. 24-27, more than 1300 oversea villagers of Baoan & Dongguan from China, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Canada, and our Hongkong, Macao & Taiwan gathered in Singapore, and held the sixth World Dongan Conference. Wang Yi, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shenzhen municipal Committee, attended on the conference with Shenzhen Delegation. The Organizing Committee Office of the ICIF held the promotion conference during the Dingan Conference, promoted the 2006 China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industry Fair to the representations of the oversea Chinese businessmen.

In 1992, in order to cooperate with the Century Celebration of the Kuala Lumpur Dongan Hall, the villagers from Dongguan & Baoan, who lives in Malaysia & Kuala Lumpur, held the First World Dongan Conference, then it become a world wide activity of Dongan Villagers, and is held every three years, On the evening of No. v26, at the banquet of the World Dongan Conference, which was held in Singapore International Conference and Exhibition Center, Wang Yi gave a speech, introduced the near years' achievement of Shenzhen to the emigrants at home and abroad, in behalf of the Shenzhen Government, he expressed great appreciation to the landsman from Hongkong, Macao, Taiwan; and the oversea emigrants, who made great contribution the construction & development of Shenzhen, and invited them to go back to their hometown to invest, visit, and travel. Wng Yi said, Shenzhen would show them a good environment, qualified service and effective work, make them to invest satisfactorily, visit and travel happily,

Wang Yi expressed, the hold of the ICIF is a great event to promote the development of China cultural industry and the export of China cultural products & service. It is a important act for Shenzhen to promote culture to boost the development of the city. The ICIF will provide business opportunities for the oversea enterprises and Chinese merchant. We hope that the oversea emigrants can pay attention on ICIF as they concern with the CHTF. We welcome the oversea enterprises to exhibit, visit, purchase and invest the cultural project on the ICIF. The promotion conference received great reply, many Chinese merchants gathered the information of ICIF after the conference, the Dongan Hall of Singapore & Malaysia expressed that they will help the ICIF to organize the cultural enterprises and merchants from their living countries, to participate in the ICIF.
