Shenzhen Museum is a general museum mainly focusing on local history. The Museum is also the center for Shenzhen's cultural relics collection and historical research. Its main goal is to become a "first class modern museum in China and famous modern museum in the world". Its tenet: educate the public and disseminate knowledge to the public in the broadest sense. By holding exhibitions, publishing magazines, and holding lectures and seminars, the Museum shows Shenzhen's past, today, and tomorrow to the public so that they could have a glimpse into the glorious culture of China.
